This is me...
I am a Biology teacher at Anaheim High School. I began my eight year of teaching this fall and so far it has been an amazing experience. I am also in the last course of the Master of Arts in Educational Technology program at Michigan State University. I obtained my undergraduate degree from UCLA and my Teaching Credential from CSUF. I also coach two of my favorite sports soccer and tennis. I love to travel and in all my travel experiences, there is one that really stands out the most. In 2009 I was able to travel to The Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. It was a surreal experience, a dream come true. To be able to observe what Charles Darwin did, reinforced my love for nature and a better appreciation for "life". I truly think it gave me a better understanding of Evolution and ultimately it made me a better person and educator.
In July 2009, I also embarked in one of my greatest adventures to date. While touring the country of Argentina, I visited the small city of Ushuaia. This is the southernmost city before Antartica. Although I was happy to leave the hot summer temperatures from sunny California, I must say It was cold! I can usually withstand cold temperatures but I had to add at extra layers of clothing to keep somewhat warm. I was not sure what to expect from this place. It was beautiful all around. The people were friendly, the food was great, and the adventures were endless. For the first time I got to dogsled, it was amazing. Unfortunately, I was only there for three days, but I am hoping to go back soon and stay longer and who knows possibly make it further south. So please enjoy every page in this website. And if you are my student I dare you to find your passions in life and accomplish them, the same way I did; you won't regret it at all.
